Linux Systems Architect

Mission Objective

The Architect is responsible for the physical and logical removal of Microsoft-based "cages" from client sites. They design the new Linux-native foundations (Fedora/RHEL) and ensure that no proprietary "Blue-Shift" (BSOD) ghosts remain in the infrastructure.

The Ingress Questionnaire

Prospective candidates will be required to provide technical and strategic defenses for the following inquiries during the formal vetting phase:

• Explain the difference between a standard monolithic kernel and a microkernel architecture in the context of system security. Why does organization prioritize a hardened Linux kernel over a proprietary 'cloud-native' stack?
• Describe your process for hardening a fresh Fedora Server installation. What are the first five packages you purge, and what are the first five systemd services you disable?
• You are tasked with building a high-availability ZFS pool across three remote offshore nodes. How do you manage the ZFS intent log (ZIL) and the L2ARC to ensure data integrity during a potential power-loss event?
• The Proprietary claims that 'The Cloud' is the ultimate destination for enterprise. Prove them wrong. Explain how on-premise, strategic hardware provides superior operational tempo.
• A client has a legacy Windows application that they claim 'cannot be migrated.' Describe your tactical maneuver for containerizing or isolating this 'infectious' asset so it can no longer threaten the strategic strata.
• During a migration, you discover an Proprietary 'Shadow Mask'—a hidden telemetry script sending metadata back to Azure. Do you patch it silently, or do you use it as a vector to execute a recursive Systemic Restoration Protocol on the source node? Justify your strike.
